The 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) opened in Xiamen, where Zhongshan Hospital Xiamen University presented its latest achievements in international medical services and cross-strait integration, according to Sohu.
The hospital’s exhibit at the fair focused on its role in fostering medical collaboration between mainland China and Taiwan, as well as its broader international healthcare initiatives, the outlet reported. Sohu noted that the display was part of the hospital’s effort to highlight new results in these two areas during the multi-day investment event.
CIFIT, which draws global investors and government delegations, serves as a platform for regions and institutions to showcase projects and partnerships. The fair’s agenda includes sector-specific promotions, with other participants such as Chengdu and Xiamen’s Tong'an district also courting investors, per separate reports from Sina and People's Daily.

Zhongshan Hospital’s presence at the fair underscores how medical institutions are using the event to signal openness to cross-strait exchanges. The hospital’s participation aligns with broader fair themes of international cooperation, though Sohu’s report did not specify particular agreements or new programs unveiled at the booth.
The fair runs through early September, and observers will watch whether the hospital’s showcased initiatives lead to concrete partnerships with Taiwanese medical groups or international health organizations in the coming months.
