Saudi Arabia's meteorological agency has issued a warning for heavy thunderstorms, potential flash floods, and hail in four regions of the country. The alert, reported by Saudi outlet عكاظ, covers areas expected to see significant rainfall starting this weekend.
According to عكاظ, the forecast specifically highlights the risk of torrential downpours and flooding. The Saudi Press Agency separately reported that heavy rain has already fallen on the Jazan region. Additional reports from Sabq and Al-Madinah indicate that the weather system is also affecting the Asir region and parts of Mecca province, where strong winds and blowing dust are expected.
In response to the severe weather conditions, the Civil Defense has urged residents in parts of Mecca province to exercise caution, as reported by Ajel. The warnings come as authorities monitor the situation closely, advising people to stay away from valleys and areas prone to flooding.

The meteorological alerts cover a wide geographic area, signaling a significant weather event. Residents in the affected regions are advised to follow official guidance and stay updated on the latest forecasts as the situation develops. The coming hours will show whether the heavy rain leads to more disruptive flooding in the warned areas.
