Xiaomi’s Poco brand has officially launched the X8 Power smartphone in India, according to multiple reports including Notebookcheck and The Hindu. The device stands out for its unusually large 10,000 mAh battery and an IP69K rating, which indicates a high level of protection against dust and water.
The phone also features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, as reported by FoneArena. Notebookcheck notes that the launch positions the X8 Power as a budget-friendly option, with PhoneArena describing the price as "ridiculously low" for a handset with such specifications.
The IP69K rating is notable because it goes beyond the more common IP68 standard found on many flagship phones. While IP68 typically covers submersion in water, IP69K means the device can withstand high-pressure water jets and high-temperature cleaning, making it more resistant to harsh environments.
The X8 Power’s 10,000 mAh capacity is roughly double what is found in most mainstream smartphones, which typically range between 4,500 and 5,500 mAh. This suggests the phone is aimed at users who prioritize battery life above all else, such as frequent travelers or those who use their devices heavily for gaming or media consumption.

The launch in India follows a pattern of Poco releasing feature-heavy devices at competitive prices in that market. The company has not yet announced whether the X8 Power will be sold in other regions, according to the reports covered.
TelecomTalk has already begun comparing the X8 Power 5G against the Realme P4s 5G, indicating that reviewers see the new Poco model as a direct challenger in the mid-range segment. Watch for detailed reviews and battery life tests in the coming days to see how the 10,000 mAh cell performs in real-world usage.
