Mohbad's father has returned to social media, sharing a video of the singer in a studio setting, according to legit.ng. The post comes days before the third remembrance of the singer's death, the outlet reports.
The clip was published as several developments around the anniversary drew attention. Tribune Online reports that the singer's family and fans are waiting on a judgment scheduled for September 29. Legit.ng also reports that fans have been mourning in the run-up to the remembrance, with some counting down the days.
Separately, actor Yomi Fabiyi has called on the Inspector General of Police to take action as the third remembrance approaches, according to legit.ng. The outlet did not detail the specific action he is seeking in the material available.
The three-year mark has kept public attention on the case. The studio footage shared by Mohbad's father is the latest in a series of posts and appeals tied to the anniversary, though the reporting does not say when the video was originally recorded or what prompted him to post it now.
What to watch next: the judgment expected on September 29, and any further response from the police to Fabiyi's request.
