The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand-catching operation, known locally as an OTT, at the land office of Bogor regency, detikNews reports. The operation is linked to allegations of bribery in the handling of Building Use Rights certificates, or HGB. The sting took place on Monday, September 14, 2026, according to detikNews.

Those detained include a director general at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and the head of the Bogor regency land office, according to Kompas.com. DetikNews separately reports that Fahd A Rafiq was arrested during the operation. Kompas.id reports that the arrests spanned the Jabodetabek area and also involved a Golkar politician.

CNN Indonesia reports that KPK investigators found 17 suitcases containing billions of rupiah in cash at the residence of a figure referred to as Gus A. The reports did not specify the exact amount of money seized.

The operation touches the ministry responsible for land administration, an agency whose regional offices handle property title paperwork. HGB certificates are a common form of land right used for buildings on land that is not freehold.

It was not immediately clear from the reports what charges the detained individuals may face, or whether any of them have responded to the allegations. Indonesian law generally treats suspects as innocent until proven in court.

Further details are expected as the KPK provides official statements on the operation and the status of those detained.
