Huawei's Mate 80 series has reached close to 9 million units in cumulative sales, according to a report published Sunday by the technology outlet عالم التقنية. The figure covers the full Mate 80 lineup rather than a single model, the outlet said.
The report, dated 13 September 2026, did not break the total down by individual device or by market. It also did not specify the period over which those sales were recorded.
The Mate 80 family sits at the top of Huawei's consumer phone range, a line the company has continued to refresh despite the export restrictions that have shaped its handset business in recent years. عالم التقنية framed the near-9-million figure as a milestone for the series, without offering a comparison to earlier Mate generations or to rival flagship launches.
No independent confirmation of the number was provided in the material available, and Huawei has not been cited as commenting on the report. Sales tallies for Chinese phone makers are often compiled by third-party analysts and retail trackers, which can produce totals that differ from a manufacturer's own shipped-unit disclosures.
Readers should treat the figure as a single outlet's reporting rather than a confirmed company disclosure.
What to watch next: whether Huawei or independent market trackers publish their own Mate 80 sales numbers, and whether عالم التقنية follows up with a model-by-model breakdown of the total.
