THE MASTER KEY TO EVERY LOCK

(Unlock Doors with the Name of Jesus)

Thursday, 3 September

TO THE BIBLE – Acts 3:6-8

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’ And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.”

The science project was due tomorrow, and everything that could go wrong was going wrong.

Maya and Jordan sat at the library table after school, staring at the half-finished model. The final experiment section had failed twice. Their data didn’t match. The deadline was less than twenty hours away.

Jordan leaned back and pressed both hands over his face. “This is it. We’re finished. I knew this would happen. I always choke when it matters.”

Tyler’s earlier words still hung in the air from lunch: “Church girl can’t save this one. You’re both going down.”

Maya felt the familiar pressure rising in her chest—the same tight feeling she used to get before big presentations. For a moment she almost joined Jordan’s downward spiral. Then she remembered the voice note she had recorded the day before and the verse she had read that morning.

The Name of Jesus.

She closed her notebook, looked straight at Jordan, and spoke quietly but firmly.

“Jordan… stop. We’re not finished. In the Name of Jesus Christ, this project is coming together. Every part that is broken is being fixed right now. Fear has no place here.”

Jordan lowered his hands and stared at her. “You’re seriously going to… pray over a science project?”

“I’m not just praying,” Maya answered. “I’m using the Name that opens every lock. The same Name that made a man who couldn’t walk stand up and leap. If that Name can raise dead limbs, it can handle a school project.”

She didn’t wait for him to agree. She placed one hand lightly on the table near their model and continued, still speaking in a normal voice so no one else in the library would hear.

“In the Name of Jesus, confusion leaves this work. Clarity comes. We have the wisdom we need. This project will be excellent. Jordan, you will not fail. I will not fail. We walk out of this pressure right now.”

For a few seconds neither of them moved. Then Jordan exhaled, long and slow, as if something heavy had shifted.

“Okay,” he said finally. “Let’s try the experiment one more time. Different approach.”

They worked in near silence for the next hour. The third attempt produced clean results. The numbers finally lined up. By the time the library closed, the project was complete and ready for presentation.

As they packed up, Jordan glanced at her. “I still don’t fully get how you just… speak like that and things change. But I’m glad you did.”

Maya zipped her bag. “The Name of Jesus is the master key. It works on everything—projects, fear, anxiety, even people who used to get under your skin.” She gave him a small smile. “Especially those.”

Walking out into the evening air, Maya felt the earlier tightness completely gone. The same situations that once made her panic had become the place where she used the Name.

Whatever door still looked locked—whether it was tomorrow’s presentation, leftover tension with Tyler, or anything else—she already knew the key.
