Creamline defeated Ho Chi Minh City in straight sets, winning 3-0, according to multiple reports from Inquirer.net, The Manila Times, and Daily Tribune. The victory, reported on September 1, 2026, was attributed in part to the presence of Jaja Santiago on the roster.
Inquirer.net reported that Creamline is now reaping the rewards of having Santiago available. The Manila Times and Daily Tribune both confirmed the sweep, with Daily Tribune noting that Creamline sustained its form while overpowering the Vietnamese squad. The match took place as part of an ongoing competition, though the specific tournament name was not detailed in the available summaries.
Santiago, a high-profile addition to the team, has drawn attention for her role in the squad’s recent performances. Her presence on the court has been a key factor in Creamline’s ability to maintain momentum, according to the Inquirer.net report. The team’s straight-set win over Ho Chi Minh follows a pattern of strong play, though the summaries do not specify how many consecutive victories Creamline has recorded.
The win also highlights the broader competitive landscape, as other Philippine teams have faced Thai opponents in separate matches. The Philippine News Agency reported that the High Speed Hitters beat their Thai rivals, while BusinessMirror noted that Davison and PLDT survived a four-setter against a Thai squad. These results suggest a strong showing for Philippine clubs in the current stretch of international matchups.
Creamline’s next fixture has not been announced in the available reporting. Fans will likely watch whether Santiago continues to anchor the team’s push for further wins in the coming days.
